Tours of Guernsey is committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information that you provide to us. Please read this policy carefully, if you have any questions regarding your personal data, or its use, please contact us.
Types of personal information collected
Tours of Guernsey only collects data for the purposes of enquiring about, or booking, a tour. This may include your name, address, phone number and email address . It may include information with regards to the to the tour with which you are interested e.g. date, time, venue and tour type. Additionally we may record payment and card details plus any bank details that may be required in regard to any potential refunds.
How we collect personal information
We may collect personal information in a number of ways:
- Via the “contact form” on the Tours of Guernsey website which sends an email directly to the Tours of Guernsey proprietor
- Via an email directly sent to a Tours of Guernsey email address
- Via a private messenger service such as Facebook Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, text, iMessage or similar service
- Via telephone call
- Via a face to face conversation
- Via Bookeo.com which is our online booking platform
How we use your information
Tours of Guernsey will only use information you submit through the aforementioned collection methods for reasons directly connected to your request, comment, or question. Tours of Guernsey will not use your information for marketing purposes in the future or pass it to others for marketing purposes unless you request us to do so.
We may share limited data with third parties (such as vehicle providers or venues) in order to facilitate your tour. This will be restricted. Tours of Guernsey will not share your data with any other parties unless required to do so by law or in agreement with yourselves.
Data handling
All data handling is carried out in line with The Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 which came into effect on 25 May 2018. Tours of Guernsey is registered as a Controller of Data with The Office of The Data Protection Authority. A controller is a person (individual or legal) that, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of any personal data. The legal definition of “processing” is very broad “Any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means”, or in plain English “anything you do with personal data”. This can include, but not limited to:-

Data principles

Retention of Data
Tours of Guernsey will store data provided for twelve months after the tour takes place, or for up to twenty four months from initial contact.
Analytics
Tours of Guernsey hosts its website with IONOS who use SiteAnalytics to track and log data on website usage. IONOS does not store any personal data of website visitors. Data is collected exclusively for statistical evaluation and technical optimization of the website, the following is collected:
- Requested website or file
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Device type used
- Time of access
- IP address in anonymized form (used only to determine the location of access)
No data will be passed on to third parties.
Additionally we may use Bookeo.com, Google Analytics, Facebook Page Insights, Instagram Insights and Twitter Analytics in a similar way to the above.
Internet- based Transfers
The internet is a global environment, using the internet to collect and process data necessarily involved the transmission of data on an international basis. Therefore, by browsing https://www.toursofguernsey.com and communicating electronically with us (via email, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, text, iMessage or any other similar service) you acknowledge and agree to our processing of personal data in this way.
Policy Modifications
We may change this privacy policy from time to time. We will post any changes here, be sure to check back periodically. Please be assured that if this policy changes in the future, we will not use the personal information you have submitted to us under this policy in a manner that is materially inconsistent with this policy without your prior consent.
